Welcome to Captain Arby’s Golf League Site.

Each week I will have cards pre-printed for your group.  One card per group.  Each card will have your names, handicaps, contests, holes, yardage, tee times, etc.  You just enter the scores and turn them into me.

The weekly standings and messages should be completed by Friday of each week… but don't hold me to that.  I usually update everything late at night well after 10 or 11pm.

** Check out the entire web site weekly for changes.

I will try to let you know when I have updated something but sometimes I forget.  It must be all those years in front of a computer.  I’ve updated the 2009 Rules and added a few guidelines such as Pace of Play.  Please check these out.

If you have any suggestions for the web page, please let me know.  I'd be happy to add a link or a favorite story or something like that.  I may add a golf joke or statement page but we would probably have to keep it clean.

SOME OBSERVATIONS ON PACE OF PLAY AND GOLF CARS

We understand that many of today’s golfers are relatively new to rules and etiquette of the game. Pace of Play and golf car do’s and don’ts are not familiar with everyone. We wanted to highlight a few of the prominent suggestions.

· Once on the green, put your clubs near the back of the greens in a position that will decrease the amount of time it takes to safely clear the green.

· Always remember your position on the golf course is relative to the group in front of you, not behind you. “We weren’t holding anyone up” is not a viable excuse for playing nine holes in 2 ˝ hours. (League play is sometimes longer but this is still important guideline)

· The golf course is not a practice range. Multiple balls played on a hole could lead to clubhouse intervention.

· Partners in carts should use the “drop off” method in order to take full advantage of the golf car’s speed from point A to point B.

· When approaching your ball, start locating yardage indicators so that you have a good idea of your yardage before you arrive at your ball.

· Replace your divots and repair your ball marks can never be said enough.

· Obey the cart signs and ropes for traffic control on the course.
